Dr. Gmerek specializes in diabetic foot care, sports related injuries of the foot and foot surgery.  He treats all ages of patients from children to seniors.

​Dr. Gmerek received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City where he also completed his surgical and orthopedic residency. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry.

​Dr. Gmerek has been in private practice since 2001.  He is actively affiliated with Highland Hospital, F.F. Thompson Hospital, Noyes Hospital and Westfall Surgery Center.

Dr. Gmerek reaches out in the community to provide podiatric service to patients in nursing homes and to the developmentally disabled.  He also maintains three convenient office locations over two counties (Monroe & Livingston).

Dr. Gmerek resides in Pittsford with his wife and two children.  He is an avid hockey player and fan and he enjoys watching and coaching his children's sports.​
